Crazy to think I started playing this game back in 2014 at age 14 and am now still playing it in 2023 at age 23.

I've met many people throughout that time that I still play with to this day.

Really shows how timeless this game and franchise is.

PAYDAY2 was one of the first English games and co-op shooters I ever played. It opened up the whole new gaming world to me, and I still come back as PAYDAY2 is my foundation as a gamer.

If you had told me 9 years ago, that'd I'd be sinking nearly 2,000 hours into Payday 2, buying every heist packs, and playing in VR, I would've been like "Who are you?"

I remember the release of "The Bomb Heists" - DLC pack. On release, me and my buddy had multiple attempts stealthing "Bomb - Dockyard" on the highest difficulty (was Death Wish back then) until we finally finished it without leaving a trace. What an exciting moment.

Back on the early 360 days, I once led a 4 man crew of strangers to completely clean out the Harvest & Trustee Bank using nothing but flashlight clicks and the crappy 360 messaging system. I'm still incredibly proud of that.

It's crazy to think that it's already been ten years. I remember getting into the game around the time we broke Hoxton out. It's even crazier to think that I was among the first 100 to complete the Payday 2 Secret with my friends KebabScout, Fily and Beat.

In PAYDAY 2. There was a very funny moment that occurred just out of nowhere during the Cook Off Heist and a Cloaker didn't spawn in at all for a good bit than out of nowhere one spawns and chases me and I screamed extremely loudly while being chased
All of my friends heard it.

I remember that struggle when I tried stealthing Election Day. I failed for 3 hours straight, and I told myself I would never play stealth again. Now I completed every stealthable heist on DSOD. God I love this game.

I started playing back in 2020, right before Scarface went off sale. Playing with friends, trying to get all achievements and beating everything on DSOD was amazing, even if we failed the heist. In the almost 3 years that I've been playing this game i have managed to rack up 800+ hours of playtime and Payday has quickly become one of my favourite games of all time, and one i will frequently revisit.

During late 2017 I was not in the best mood due to personal reasons and was playing PAYDAY 2 to keep my mind off those problems. I joined a public lobby filled with 3 other nice people who were able to tell that I wasn't doing well and were very supportive to me, eventually I was able to vent to them about my problems (one of which involved my sexuality, at the time I was still questioning myself) and one of the players I was playing with was also bisexual and gave me reassurance that what I was feeling was okay and encouraged me to explore myself. Not longer after I came out as bisexual and I partly owe it a lot to that player whom I sadly don't remember and wish I was in contact with.

I want to thank you guys at Starbreeze for making a game that had this much of an impact on me and I'm highly looking foward to PAYDAY 3.

I feel my favourite memory of the game is attempting overdrill when I celebrated achieving infamy 1. The gold was holy yet dallas yelling Ahhhhhh!! I NEED A MEDIC BAG!!!! Still echo in my ears to this day. Oh wait… That was ME?!?!?

First time I heard of PayDay was back when Yogscast played it. Played the PD2 when it was free for 2 weeks, got fully addicted to it, my friend was generous and asked his mothers credit card to gift me the game. It was back in 2015 and I couldn't have hoped that I will meet so many great friends down the years. All the fun stuff we had, the hunt for achievements, trolling our new friends who just started playing. I owe to Payday 2 a lot, till this day we still are in contact with one another. Thank you Overkill for this amazing journey of mine you have given and to all the other players too.

There was this one time on scarface mansion, very hard difficulty, where only my friend and a jacket Ai was alive. I remember cheering the Ai on as it carried us through the end of the heist.

My favorite memory was doing OVERDRILL for the first time. There was a crash halfway through so I didn't get the achievement but once I rejoined moving all 70 bags of gold was a breeze.

Payday was always on my radar but never gave it a try until 2016. 1000 Hours since then and i would say its one of my favorite games of all time. Happy 10th Anniversary Payday 2. Let's make it atleast another 10 when Payday 3 comes out!

When I finally outran a clocker, I jumped did a quick 180 and used my Judge to put him in his place. I felt I could do anything.

The best memories from this game is from heisting with my brother and finding new cool guns.

If you're reading this then you propably know who I am and I don't need to introduce myself, but I've put over a decade of my life into this game and eventually led to creating a ton of content that many of you have enjoyed, that includes the Developers of this game including the Management. I am happy to be around with such fantastic people that I've met over that time, PAYDAY has been a huge part of my life, with over 87 658.1277 hours of my life put into it that some of it got lost in the process, but it was mostly just good memories...

I think i first heard about PAYDAY 2 in 2018, but i haven't heard about it so much.
But then, in 2020 i bought it on sale basically because almost my entire friends list had PAYDAY 2. Then, in 2021 i downloaded it because my friend recommended to play it with him. That was a blast, we did like 10 heists on Death Sentence and i really liked it.
And when 2022 hit the calendars, i became a true PAYDAY fan.
Even though i'm rather new here, thank you for everything, heisters and fellow developers at Starbreeze.

Wow... 10 whole YEARS of Payday 2. That... I would never have imagined that I would be able to see a game like this grow so big (I mean that in how big the community is and by how much storage this game takes like holy shit 85+ Gigabytes my god). Although I don't play this game that much nowadays my friend Clover plays it a lot! She bought it in early 2020 and loves it to bits! I will say that my earliest memory of this game was... ah, I forget the year but one of my old friends introduced me to this game all the way back on the Xbox 360 and wow I just... I don't know what to say without repeating myself but man... It's been a long journey.

This goes to Payday 3 and another successful decade! 🥂

That one game with soul. There is so many little things that you can remeber this game for. From UI design, through guns and characters, for fun moments with friends. I hope PD3 will be same memorable...

Payday 2 is the first game I played on my PC back in 2018. Since then I have had so many fond memories with me and my friends trying to rob a hospital with flamethrowers, to us trying to draw that cool S in preplanning.

my greatest memory for sure has to be the secret and everything revolving around it, solving the achievements made me grow close to a few friends, unlocking the trophies to start the secret made me improve (and started my obsession with trohpies). and the final vault at the white house has to be one of the most rewarding things you could ever do in payday besides maybe overdrill.

Being scared shitless at the sight of a cloaker for the first time. A generally horrifying experience because of its looks and noise. Looks like I am going to be even more terrified in Payday 3.

I’ll never forget believing in John Wick at a time when only payday fans were aware of him, which he was hated by at the time. The film proved me right and I’ll always associate the two franchises.

I remember my friend talking about this game back in 2019, and how cool the stealth of the game was, and in summer of next year he got me the game on sale, and what a ride the game was! can't wait for PD3!

I remember how, i play payday 2 on xbox one,Then in 2020 year i buy Payday 2 on PC and buy Gage Russian Weapon Pack, and i thought that Gage is a Bodhi and i thought that Bodhi is russian.I play payday 2 few hours, then in 2023 year my friend told: who play with me payday 2? And then i started playing payday 2 many hours. Now i have Infamy III and more dlc. And i want to say for payday 2, Happy Birthday with 10 years old.

When Car Shop first came out and I played the heist for the first time, after grabbing the car keys, I thought the cars would become escape points, and the heist would just end there. Then, I got the prompt to unlock and enter the car. I remember my first reaction after getting inside was, "WHAT YOU CAN DRIVE NOW IN THIS GAME???" Thank you for the thousands of hours of fun in Payday 2, and I'm hugely looking forward to Payday 3! Here's to hoping we get to run over bulldozers, so we can watch their silly ragdolls zoom across the floor sometime eventually in Payday 3 lol

I like trolling my friends by throwing the drill out of a third-floor window in Hotline Miami day 2. I discovered that I could do so back in 2015 and it's still just as hysterical as the first time.

For the first 200 hours since getting Payday 2, I only played it at 10fps, and yet I enjoyed every second of the game. Fan of the franchise since 2015, and gonna just keep going, forever a heister.

I remember doing your usual bank heist, after some time, a fellow robber has decided to join me, we completed the heist in ease, and later on became great teammates, sadly he passed out. Rest in peace, the legend

Payday 2 is a videogame of all time. There are many things I can say about it. It's my favourite game ever. I had a lot of memories playing it. My core memory was when I booted up the game and played it with my friends.

Getting the game after convincing my mother to buy it for me back in 2016. It's been a long journey since then and I've met a lot of friends along the way, and it's been a pleasure to meet some of the most talented players I've ever seen. This game has picked me up when I was low, so I'm looking forward to what's on the horizon for payday!

I remember when I first played Payday 2 on the Xbox 360. I always had an un-imaginable amount of fun playing a game that was always giving tons of action in each heist, and the idea of a game where you can rob banks after banks was a phenomenal concept that had been executed greatly. I fell in love with this game for the past 9 years since I got it. And once I got my hands on the pc version a couple years ago I was so happy to finally have the ability to play with mods and new features, but most importantly to be a part of events like these. Thank you so much for developing this masterpiece that we The Heisters will cherish till the end of time!

I started robbing Payday: The Heist on my old PC.
Some time later I bought Payday 2 and it was the most fun and unforgettable memory I have ever played cooperative games with friends. Years passed and I constantly returned to this game, bringing more and more friends, we quarreled, put up, made plans for life and robberies :)
This game holds a special place in my heart. Now I have upgraded my computer, pre-ordered Payday 3 and am looking forward to the release of this game. I am sure that the game will be able to leave more good memories.

I remember, I randomly had this strange urge to try Payday 2 on my PlayStation 3 one day, which I just happened to have from a PS plus deal a while ago, and I instantly fell in love with the game. I would go on to buy the Crimewave edition sometime later and I would sink countless hours into this game. I would always anticipate new updates on consoles and when they came I would boot up the game and absolutely devour any new content they added, crime spree being one of the fondest as at the time it was one of the funnest ways to grind with its interesting difficulty progression and unique modifiers. Years later I would get my new PC and would buy Payday 2 once again, where I am now still happily heisting, hoping to achieve Infamy 100 before Payday 3's release. Shoutout to Red Archer Live as well for keeping the console hype for all those years. Here's to a better future with Payday 3.

The community on the game, steam and discord has been a large part of my life and it's been a wild ride with ups and downs. I honestly have no idea where I'd be without it. You guys totally changed my entire life, thanks for being cool!

I ever tell you 'bout the time I cooked meth with my buddy Keith? Yeah well we were in this forest shack and all shit and then the police came up and then Captain Winters was all like "You have pay'd your last day." And then we were like shieeet man!!! We gotta fight off the police assault !!!! and my buddy keith was all like-

I remember this one time I was doing Overdrill with a crew and volunteered to do the floor tile code once the vault opened. Unfortunately despite following the diagram in the guide I pressed the wrong tile and failed the attempt...
And the second attempt...
So the third time we had someone else do it, and finally succeeded. Pretty funny story but to this day I refuse to do the tile puzzle if it can be helped...

Can't remember exactly just when I started playing, had the game on my library for a while but I couldn't ever give it a proper chance, the only thing I know is that the game quickly became my most played game ever. I've put over 700 hours into this game, which isn't a lot on the grand scheme of things yet I am still proud of, and of all those hours my favorite moments were playing with a friend from his start to helping him beat the secret ending, that friend who I got the game for a while back and who is now my boyfriend. Thanks to this amazing game I got to spend hours upon hours with him, and thanks to this game my liking for FPS games started, so suffice to say this game became an integral part of my life and I wouldn't want it any other way.

As quite a few of us, I first started playing because of Badger. His videos introduced me to this game, and I've been hooked ever since. Now, over 3 years and almost 1.000 hours spent in-game later, I'm still playing the game. Part of that is of course the fun gameplay. But the thing that really keep me tied to this game is the community. Yeah, you. My best memories are those playing with randoms for hours, only to maybe never see them again. The conversations we had in the lobby, the loot we scored mid-heist. All will stick with me. Got the game when Hoxton Breakout came out. Since he was my favourite in the first game so i knew i had to get the game absolutely then. Now i have 1900+ hours sinked in.

This was back when I first joined the Payday 2 discord in 2020 i was looking for people to play with and I found some we eventually tried no mercy on death sentence knowing we would fail we didnt even make it past the first objective but we got some good laughs thanks to the rocket launcher I hid in my back pocket

I remember coming back from school and playing this game every day with the very same gang I played with during Payday: The Heist. My laptop could barely handle the game at the time! But I still had a blast.

I remember I used to go all the way around the right side of Diamond Store to get to the camera room.
My very first heist was Art Gallery and almost every time I go infamous and go back to Level 0, I do Art Gallery on Normal in memory of that.

My friend introduced me to this game to play as a joke, after I recognized the gameplay it was the game I was wanting to remember when I played on the xbox 360, Payday 2, after that I played until I said enough and made people that I probably won't forget early. so thank you Overkill for creating this gem.

I've been here since 2011, watched the Overdrill get discovered in real time, always logging onto the old Steam Forums every day after coming home to check if there were any new breakthroughs.

All the months of hype in 2013 just before PAYDAY 2 came out were insane back then. Me and my buddies could not stop talking about the game. I still remember my first heist in the pre-order beta - Four Stores on Hard with Full Force Forward blasting through my headphones, synergizing into an orchestra comprised of echoing gunfire and EDM.

It's been a long ten years and PAYDAY 2 has been a major part of them. Hopefully PAYDAY 3 will allow me to feel just as nostalgic in 2033 as I am feeling about PAYDAY 2 and The Heist in 2023. All things considered, this was a good ride.

I watched Kknowley's story series on the game and was instantly hooked on the game wanting to kick Murkywater butt. It felt so refreshing just using Sokol for everything, with that red cap and Crimson Comic. Perfection.

Started heisting in 2011, got PDTH the day It came out and played hours upon hours with fandoms and had great fun. Fell in love with all the characters but Hoxton was my favorite because we have a similar vocabulary. Fast forward to payday 2 and I taught my friends to heist and we took on all the scores as they all came out throughout the years we never slowed down. Payday is a huge part of my life, felt like Christmas when I heard we were breaking Hoxton out. I look forward to heisting with you all in Payday 3, and I’m glad to have Wolfy back:)

My first memory of payday was when the border crossing heist released i remember playing it and listening to dirt and dust and that was the moment i feel in love with payday!

Decided to try the stealth system for the first time and do First World Bank. I got super unlucky over and over again and ended up failing over 50 times, but then I got the perfect run and finished in about 30 min. Now I can stealth pretty much any mission no problem. And I made sure that my stealth build always includes the comically large spoon.

The first time i tried overdrill with my friends, we had did it, we made our way into the overdrill chamber, we only had to put the code and take all the gold, but my friend misclick and the gaz entered, we lost 30 minutes of gameplay, but we laughed a lot afterward !

"Aaaah, I need a medic bag!"

I remember very vividly one time I was playing Framing Frame and... I met a group that I just got along with so well, coming up with our own codenames as we swindled away the gold from the Senator... It felt so good and solidified PAYDAY 2 as one of my favourite games of all time.

Spending 8 hours trying to stealth the dragon heist on the highest difficulty, i failed but i still had fun

I remember when the Secret Ending came out, and I went on to solve it with a friend. Back then, we both only had shitty computers, both of us running an intel laptop with iGPU. We both ran the game on 5~15FPS. Our PC ran The Whitehouse Heist around 5~8FPS and it was a bloody nightmare. The Watchers came at us and my friend held 'em off while I did all the work on the Vault. Our game crashed midway into the heist at least twice or thrice, but finally and thankfully, we finished it. It was such a mindblowing experience, man. I honestly shat myself when I found out that PAYDAY was going in a mythos direction, but it was one helluva ride.

I started playing in 2014 and I played the game religiously until Crimefest 2015. I did come back eventually and despite everything that has happened, good and bad, Payday 2 holds a very special place in my heart - 2600 hours over 9 years, 1325 of 1328 achievements, and 8 years (on and off) working on a mod.

Payday 2 might have its problems and had a rocky road, but it's undoubtedly a very special game that I will never forget my time playing and I don't regret a second of it.

My favourite memories must either be making friends with fellow heisters and talking to them to this day, or failing DSOD right next to the escape van.

I remember all the way back in 2013 I was on my school bus heading to school when in between songs, the two radio hosts began talking about their disgust for this little bank robbing game that was about to release called PAYDAY 2. To be honest, they sold me on the game. Ten years and a thousand hours of playtime later, all I gotta say is thanks for the recommendation Mr. and Mrs. radio hosts.

Saw PAYDAY 2 on steam back in early 2016, told my best friend at the time about it and we both went into EB Games to get Steam Gift cards and bought the game together.

Nightclub, around 2016. Loud and in Overkill difficulty. Right now it sounds lame, but I'll never forget the satisfaction of carrying all the loot to the van, somehow surviving on my last down while the rest of the crew was in custody.

Payday 2 had just come out, console was still getting updates. Cloakers were just brought back from payday 1, and still weren't working right. A Cloaker misses their kick that was aimed at me, then seemingly not knowing what to do from there it just staring beating down nothing.

i remember my first introduction to payday being the [[POLICE ASSAULT IN PROGRESS]] video on youtube. i looked more into the game and the first heister i ever laid my eyes on and immediately fell in love with was clover. she's still my most favorite to this day <<3

I think easily my most fond memory was back when the Hotline Miami heist released. My friends and I tried for hours to get the overdose achievement for the Graham mask. For hours we couldn't get the right ingredient spawn only learning after all that time we were on the wrong difficulty. Brought about a good laugh after a small bout of frustration. Been playing since launch and I'm excited for the future!

During the launch of payday 2 I was sad to see no Cloaker back then I didn’t have access to the internet so I didn’t know when updates were coming out and one day on four stores I’m in the China store and next minute I hear the iconic sound we are used to now I looked behind me and there he was sprinting full force at me I would say I was amazed and happy to see him back but to be honest I was scared out of my mind and scream and what made it better is the line he said was “you wanted me back I’m back” this moment has stayed with me for many years

I remember telling my parents that this was a cool game where you play as a "good guy Robin Hood" type of figure, because I was afraid they wouldn't let me play it otherwise.

A decade later, that little lie has resulted in life changing friendships and thousands of hours of fantastic memories in and out of the game. Thank you PAYDAY!

From my first day in PAYDAY The Heist to the final days of PAYDAY 2, the PAYDAY franchise has always been close to my heart.

I consider myself blessed to make the friends I have a long the way bother heisters and developers and I hope to make more as we progress to the 3rd installment.

My favorite PAYDAY moment was back when the Big Bank was being showcased at E3. My friends and I were denied entry as we didn't have passes, as we sat outside pondering how to get in, there we saw two gentlemen with the Overkill bomb on their blazer jackets. It was Ilija and his brother! After an energetic exchange they found out what had happened and snuck us into E3 to enjoy the new map and meet the Overkill crew.

They had given us special access to the booth and we enjoyed the whole experience in its entirety.

DSODing Shadow Raid with my friend with all but like 3 loot bags. We worked for roughly an hour to get there and I'm proud we did.

I remember feeling sad when the PAYDAY 2 beta was coming to an end and I posted about it on the discussion forums and somebody gifted me the game out of nowhere. I didn't know who he was nor their name but I'm forever grateful for that user because I've been heisting since launch with around 7000 hours across a 10 year timespan, pretty much growing up with the game throughout the years from the end of 8th grade all the way to the end of college. I'm excited for what PAYDAY 3 will bring.

When I was young, when I was a noob in 2015, I played PAYDAY2 on a laptop run with its battery. The laptop was on low energy mode so fps was almost under 20, everything was lagging. But it still a very great time in my life. Then I started learning from community players, learning their stealth walkthrough, learning their bulids, even learning speedrun. Later in 2018, at the end of the game' storyline, I became a fandom translater for about half a year. Now, 8 years passed and I still love this f-word-ing game!

I've played ever since 2014 on PS3 till 2016 and changed PS3 for PC version. Payday 2 was, is and most likely will be a greatest PvE game ever created.
I'm glad I've been a part of the journey and made memories that will last!

PAYDAY 2 has meant so much to me since I started playing in November 2013. Most of my friends list consists of wonderful people I've met in public lobbies, and I still talk to many of them today. I especially remember Crimefest 2014, refreshing the website every few minutes, waiting for the next content reveal and content drop, and dropping in with a group to see what's new. PAYDAY 3 has been my most anticipated game since it was first announced and I'm so excited to create many new memories and meet many new heisters along the way!

I started Payday 2 with the beta back in July 2013. Bought the game on launch and couldn't put it down. I did my degree for the next three years and spent far too much time heisting than studying. Taking part in community events, befriending other players, and eagerly awaiting every new update really hit the core of what the Payday experience is about, and I'll always be so fond of this game.

I bought the game in 2016, after looking for new FPS games to play, and I fell in love with the gun customisation, the heists, etc. even though I wasn't good at the game.

Eventually, my friends' decision to stop playing the game in 2021 caused me to lose interest for a while,
until one day in 2022 my aunt asked me to teach her how to play, and since that day I've put almost 800 hours into the game.

I can't believe a game I bought almost 7 years ago got this far, and I can't wait to play Payday 3 :) <3

Man, It's super fun sending Almir himself to custody with a rocket launcher. You won't find that kind of interaction with a developer in another game.

Got the game from a friend back in 2019 and got a couple of hours on it since, about 2000.

My first memory of PAYDAY 2 was being gifted it and playing one of the branch bank heists for the first time back in 2017 with my friends. I've loved it ever since and can't wait to see what the future holds for this lovely franchise.

My best memory was from doing a charity stream during the weekend after release. We raised $11k for charity while enjoying Payday 2 for 36 hours. Also have many great memories of doing silly challenges and celebrating my bday with friends in Payday! Thanks you all (especially Apo, Merky, Nacho) for still being here and hanging out after 10 years! Looking forward to creating more memories in Payday 3!

my payday 2 memory is weird bc first time i played it was when my brother show me the payday 2 gameplay on youtube and when he show me it i already love it <3

I remember exactly when I started: December 3rd, 2013. Two days before Gage Weapon Pack #1 released. Played the demo version of the game late November. The game was tough as nails, when leveling was slow and the money economy in shambles. But it was great.

I practically grew up alongside this game, through my teenage years to adulthood. I've seen the highs and lows. The very deep lows. But I never gave up on the game. It was truly something special.

And now... 10 years later? It's still great and special, but just more... spongy. And an actual slaughterhouse. It's comical.

I wish to go back in time, when it was more simple. And less convoluted. But the passage of time cannot be stopped. Or reversed.

Thank you, Overkill Starbreeze. It's been a bumpy road, but a damn fine road it is. Hopefully it will be less so for the future. Don't mess it up, would ya?

Payday 2 carried me over my depression in lockdown.I've met so many cool people over there that helped me to stay positive and keep going ;-)

All I can say is thank you to the team at StarBrezze for for putting PayDay 2 crime wave edition on the consoles. Without it, I never would made the friends I see in person every year to this day. Crazy to think that PAYDAY 2 is 10 years old today. I started out as a fan 10 years ago, then I got hired by Starbreeze 5 years ago. And in just about one month we will be launching our next game in the franchise! ✨

I was first introduced to this game in 2021, a friend of mine suggested it to me and whilst I normally don’t like the games he requests, I decided to give this game a try. Now I have over a thousand hours and have completed every single achievement. I’ve met a lot of friends playing this game and I’m extremely glad I decided to listen my friend’s recommendation. Funnily enough he ended up getting bored of the game and now I have more hours and achievements in the game than he does. Thanks for all the memories and I hope Payday 3 can be just as good, if not better.

I've made some great memories and friends along the way because of this awesome franchise. Something about this game was really special to us because we still keep in touch, despite some of them not even playing the game anymore. I'm sure that will change very soon however because ALL of them are very excited about Payday 3. Thank you so much to all the passionate people who have worked on this franchise and always made it their top priority to give the community their PAYDAY.

I saw my cousin played PAYDAY 2 back in 2014. When I saw him played it, I thought it was a cool game and figured I tried it. Bought it, loved it, met new friends and my crew along the way. Won a speedrun tournament 1st place, and I still play PAYDAY 2 to this day. 7,385.7 hours and still counting. Thank you PAYDAY 2.

I was still pretty new to the game, playing the Street Escape at night (for what heist I can't remember) with a newly maxed out Sociopath deck, not even knowing about skills, trying to use as few bullets as possible. In between assault waves me and a crew of randos were moving the bags to the escape vehicle when a cloaker randomly spawned in a dark alleyway, lit by a single light post, crawling out of a sewer grate. I completely forgot I was on Mayhem and ran up to him, killed him with a couple blows from the MotherForker, with Jacket saying "I really enjoyed that" as I left the alleyway and went on my way. It was the perfect movie moment, and it'll always stick in my mind as one of my favorite kills I've ever gotten in Payday 2.

Got into PAYDAY way back when a friend gifted me PD:TH just after the Wolf Pack release, ended up with me grabbing the Career Criminal edition of 2 and playing the beta (I remember the day Nightclub was added, still my favourite heist :D )
Been playing constantly since, got my death wish mask in feb 2015, and did a whole bunch of modding too

My first ever heist being money branch heist I spend an hour lockpicking since I thought it was an achievement after seeing the game had over a 1000 achievements

I’ve been a longtime fan since the original in 2011. Back then I could only play games with a very underpowered 2010 MacBook. I played a fan-made port to Mac and put countless hours into it. A few years later PAYDAY 2 came out and I actually had a PC this time, so I picked that up for real too.

Been playing it ever since, and I even met my partner and best friends playing it. We’re absolutely stoked and can’t wait for PAYDAY 3!

My favorite moment in Payday 2 for me has to be doing white house stealth with a friend. After at least 8 tries we finally reached the end, and all we had to do was grab the pardon documents, but me being the way that i am smashed the glass, instantly sounding the alarm. We still made it out but I never got to live that down. Here's to another 10 years of heisting!!!

After almost 2 hours in big oil I accidentally unlocked Dr Miserable. I just couldn't figure out the puzzle lol

The first time i was playing death wish difficulty with my friends, we were playing Slaughterhouse. It was going easy, we opened the vault easily and proceeded to carrying the bags. Then my friend said "Hey, are those two dozers carrying miniguns?", In the next ten seconds everyone got downed and groupchat was a total chaos. Everyone one was blaming each other. Thank you Starbreeze and Overkill for separating my friend group for over 3 months <3

favorite memory was actually a very recent one, me and the team worked hard to get 'beneath the mountain' done (at least opening the 4 vaults) in under ten minutes. whole call was shouting when we clutched it with <10 seconds remaining

I remember playing Jewelery Store on the Xbox 360 version with a friend when the 360 and PS3 were the only console versions. It wasn't until the summer of 2021 where I really got into the game. I still remember going through Undercover with some friends and being nervous about not messing up. Now I look back at my other achievements like completing OVERDRILL and The Secret solo or mastering Murky Station or the hours I put in on Cook Off alone for Infamy grinding.

While I journeyed to complete all of the achievements and challenges, the best ones were when I needed a team of heisters who would be able to help me get some of them. Above all the story was my favorite, events with hidden puzzles or speculations.

I've played Payday 2 since 2016 and i loved it. Met some friends playing it and my wallet hated every new dlc. Had to buy, there was no choice. I did 100% in it and i loved most of it. Grinding for robbedacop was a nightmare. The game one of the kind!

man, payday was the first game in my steam library that wasn´t free to play, i spent hours and hours playing it and nevet got bored, i have met incredible people and friends, gotta be my favorite game right now, 10 years... thanks for being with me for the mayority part of my life! and as Bain said one "Lets do this" !!!!

Payday 2 was a big game with me and my friends since launch. Never will be able to forget set pieces like Big Bank and The White House!

Every single public stealth heist I took part on was a mix of annoyance and laughs. I will never forget it.

I still remember booting up my Xbox360 with my first copy of PAYDAY 2, Seeing the laundry safehouse, going jewelry store heist and thinking that this was the best game I've played in years. 2023 is here and not only EVERYTHING has been improved but I still think that PAYDAY 2 has been the most pleasant and entertaining experience I've had in all my videogame history.

I remember when I first played the game like 8 years ago on Xbox 360 and it being amazing and I loved it but also being buggy and not having a lot to do right away and stealth being confusing and hard af. But over the years, they have done a lot of stuff, and i'm so happy that payday is my favorite game ever and starbreeze is the best developer company outthere, they love the community and always listen to em. I started playing the game when i was able to download it for free on steam, i remember having so much fun back then until i lost my account. Didn't care much about it because i've been able to actually buy the game and most of the DLCs. Payday is honestly one of my favorite games of all time and i'm glad of where everything is today. I wish everyone happy heisting and remember to keep those helmets flying!!

I met most of my friends cause of payday 2 even most of my current and old class mates play this it has been a wild 10 years i hope to atleast 10 or 20 more

I first saw Payday on YouTube and was immediately interested by the concept. As a result I played the demo on the Xbox 360 but soon upgraded to an Xbox One where I next played in 2015 with the Crimewave Edition. Since then and over a thousand hours later, I've rebought the game on PS5 and am once again racking up game time, eagerly awaiting PayDay 3.

As for a specific memory, I remember me and my mate being unable to complete Car Shop. Now I see it as a quick, easy heist to do if I want to shake things up a bit but back then we used to play for hours, trying to complete that damn heist!

Anyway, happy birthday Payday 2! I hope to be here in another 10 years time, reminscing on my PD3 memories!

My brother was going through some tough times and the only way I could really spend time with him was when he got home and played on his Xbox 360. One day he booted up Payday the Heist and I was hooked! We took turns per heist, hours were lost, love this game but more importantly I got to spend lots of time heisting with my bro, which we still do years later with Payday 2 and soon Payday 3. Me and my friends in celebration of Payday 3 being announced finally attempted “The Secret”. One of the most satisfying things I’ve done in games.

One of my fondest memories was from when Breaking News update was just ending and maybe a week after the White House heist had just released I met one of my life long friends who I hang out with just about everyday that I can.

I remember when I played Payday 2 with some friends and we used to get many achievements and complete the different jobs in the game I wish I could go back in time and be with them again with the band

I played PAYDAY 2 on 4 different platforms. This game followed me during my passage from teenagehood to adulthood, and i am happy PAYDAY got to grew up as well and become 10 years old.

My first experience with Payday 2 was in 2014, I was excited because I had money and could afford a game for my PS3, and there it was, PAYDAY 2. Robbing banks and doing it with friends seemed like a great idea. From that moment this game has become one of my favorites, and thanks to it I've got a very nice community both on Twitch and Youtube which I appreciate very much.

I think my first encounter with Payday was the infamous "Giant Toothbrush" video from back in the day and seeing how the devs went back and made it even bigger hahaha!
I'd just bought a gaming pc a few months before payday 2 was released so it was the first game I ever pre-ordered on steam and I must say it was worth it, from harvest and trustee's to the white house, helmets have flown and will continue to in Payday 3

I don't have a lot of memories since I've joined just when the Dragon Heist first released back in 2021, but Payday 2 made my life happier in a way. I've found a lot of friends via the game, shared laughs, sorrows, and genuinely had a great time with friends and the game itself.
Payday 2 even gave me a new hobby in a form of modding! I've made a lot of custom weapon skins for the community over the past year until recent, and I'll keep making them until Payday 3 rolls around.

No matter how much Payday 2 disappoints me now, it still has a really special place in my heart.

Before I had my own money to buy games with i spent countless hours playing the Payday 2 demo on PS3. Then Payday 2 was the first game I ever bought after getting a laptop.

I have so many it's legitimately hard to pick, but if i had to pick one it's probably when my friend and I got the ability to buy masks with continental coins. We immediately bought the kawaii mask and began to heist striking true fear into the eyes of the officers.

From PAYDAY: The Heist all the way to PAYDAY 3, what a ride we've had. There's been ups and downs, but here we are!

I started playing PD2 in the beta and haven't stopped. But the best part of the game for me is the crew of close friends I've gained through it. We all still talk almost daily and have been for most of the past decade with full intentions of continuing with Payday 3

The amount of suffering i endured playing DSOD Loud is huge! But I'm still loving the game! Would recommend the experience to the whole family!

I'd always get on with my friends and we would have the most unhinged conversations while playing. The game has gotta be one of my all time favorites

When I started playing Payday 2 I thought about one thing, to become rich and cool doing all sorts of builds and destroying crowds of police with all the weapons in games, it was great to play and I will never forget those days when I killed crowds of cops with a shotgun and grenades it was really fun a lot of fun and I don't regret a single second that I spent in the game when payday 3 comes out I will definitely buy it no matter what

For me my PD2 memory would have to be, in general, the excitement of coming home any day there was a new update

I still remember when I first downloaded the demo back in 2013... found a couple of heisters while matchmaking who are still my friends, 10 years on... Surreal to think that PAYDAY 2 has been with me from the 6th grade all the way to my senior year in university... so many memories...

Me and my friends got payday to all play together and I can't even say how awesome it was doing Heists together and me and my friends we are very imaginative so when we got a bit to into it we started to do a full roleplay it was a BLAST and the fun things we encountered while playing. Payday 2 was one of my first pc games, and it was (and it is) absolutely wonderful. I still remember all those helmets flying, and the epic heists with our beloved gang. Probably one of the best gaming experience you can have. I'm ready for Payday 3 and don't forget ; Let's do this.

My favorite memory in PAYDAY was learning how to do the H&T Bank from my older brother while I was a kid.

I only started playing recently around when the Ukrainian prisoner heist released and immediately i was hooked. There's nothing more satisfying than blasting through waves of cops while listening to that awesome soundtrack

Played since Payday 2 Beta. Found new friends for life. Completed all (but one) possible tasks (achievements and trophies). 'Free' Epic version made possible to start to get all achievements again (now at 870/1327 in 2 months).

On my first attempt on overdrill with some friends we got right to the vault, but got the puzzle incorrect and had to try again all from the start. It left us speechless lol

Truly one of the few games I always come back too, whether to heist for hours or just to remember the good old times, back in 2015 me and my buddy used to go on a trip to branson every year. Wed bring our laptops and use the really crappy wifi to do stealth missions together racking up the paydays! I remember my brother gifting me PAYDAY: THE HEIST, since them payday has been a small part of my life. Same thing happened with Payday 2, with my brother gifting it to me and I playing it every day and having fun.
Now with the close release of payday 3, a new chapter of this continues and what a surprise when my bro again gave it to me, it's like tradition at this point. Thank you brother and thank you Payday for hours of fun.

Played the game in 2016-2018 but didn't really get into until 2020-2021 with one of my friends who lived in a whole other country then me and we went for alot of the death sentence one down heists we even got the secret ending for the game with one random guy who was a lot of help to us

I bought this game after my friends and my brother suggested it to me in 2022. now i have close to 1000 hours and almost done with completing every heist in DSOD ( only need 5 more) i have made countless memories in this game with randoms and my friends alike

I remember how cocky my partner was when it came to fighting the Bulldozers. They would get excited about every opportunity to get one of them... until the first day of Hoxton's Heartswarming, that is.
Not being able to stun Dozer, coupled with their ability to run, made my partner panic everytime they spot that hulking mass rushing their way! Complete switch from predator mentality to prey mentality was jarring to watch at the time!)
P.S. They are much more confident nowadays.

I remember my first ever attempts at loud heists, being carried by higher level players, barely scraping enough cash to buy a minigun. And now I've done the secret end and got a full collection of every weapon noob me ever wanted.

From the demo on the 360 back in 2013, to playing on a crappy laptop in windowed with 600x800 resolution, all the way to today with over 2.5k hours in the game and even giving back to the community with becoming a moderator of the community discord. Payday 2 has been a big part of my life in the best way possible. It's made me laugh, made me cry, gave me something to look forward to in life, and introduced me to some of the most amazing people I have ever met. So, here's to 10 years of payday with hopefully even more to come, keep those helmets flying!

i was recording my girlfriend play payday2 for the first time and her first heist was on carshop and i had her go up the stairs on mayhem difficulty and she didnt know any better and thought it was all her fault she got caught, we still laugh about it to this day 3 years later

I still remember the day when my good friend and I were able to clear Henry's Rock on Death Sentence One Down. Payday 2 has been a game that thoroughly scratched my achievement hunting itch and moments like that, getting the Tabula Rasa achievement or Reputation Beyond Reproach will stick with me even after Payday 2 as a game has not.

Back im the beta of payday 2 me and my friends played it a lot and specifically we played watchdogs alot. It got to the point where we have had a running joke that still continues today of just shouting all the bags whenever anyone suggests leaving loot behind

Me and a friend were playing Car Shop and it was looking doomed. I had managed to secure one of the cars, but my friend was lagging behind. With only five seconds left on the clock we thought we were done. But then he slammed the gas and slammed the car into the van and quickly got out and we escaped, granted one car less than expected but still, we escaped. Good times all around, haven't laughed quite so hard in a multiplayer game as I did then.

Been a payday veteran since the launch of Payday 2, love every minute of it, and played it with many friends over the years, still one of my go to games to stream to this day, thank you for making great gaming memories for me Overkill. Also shout out to Dragan, gotta be the best heister to be added, UNLEASH THE DRAGAN

Joined the gang back on PS3 with the Payday the Heist demo. Later bought the full game on PC (and found out that First World Bank didn't actually end after grabbing money in the vault???). I was later told that they were making a sequel, got given a beta invite by a friend, which led to me preordering the game an hour before it launched. It has since remained installed on each of my machines for the next 10 years, and still is installed to this very day. ♥

One of my fondest memories was the lead up to the release of the Big Bank Heist. One of the first major heist DLCs to be released that really took me back to that Hollywood blockbuster feeling with the introduction of The Dentist and hearing the opera singing for the first time in the trailer and just having the similar cinematic moment in game with the singing happening right at the end of the heist when the bus crashes into the wall and it was a full force attempt to get all the loot to the van.

I haven't played payday 2 as much as everyone else as of now I only have 272 hours in payday 2 but my payday memory is finding an amazing community of really nice people alongside amazing developers who are passionate about there game and I've even met some of my best friends on payday 2 I'm looking forward for 3 happy anniversary payday 2

Too many to count; But the time I got the legendary weapon skin 'City of Gold' accepted to the game was pretty good- even better after there was a whole event named after it, casino yacht heist included.

Growing up during highschool i didn't really have the best of computers. And Payday 2 was the really only game i could run. And the amount of friends and time i played this game with was amazing.

I remember entering the old safehouse and being completely clueless on what to do... Till I found out I had to put money on the lady with the scale... half a year later though! :D

I remember spending 2 hours in deathwish Cook Off, securing a lot of bags. I don't know if it was really the best decision reflecting on it, but it was fun nonetheless!

I originally started playing after watching youtube videos but after me and my friend started playing it together we found out it was a great way to make new friends.

I met this cool guy called "Roger" in the first month of playing Payday 2 on PC. We were just two randoms playing heat street. We started looking for the tortoise together and it became a whole thing! We've been good friends ever since that day, after six whole years...

My best PD2 memory is way back in 2014 when I first played the free demo on steam.
In my very first heist I got so disoriented from the combat (this is on normal btw) I ended up spending 10+ minutes drilling into the security office thinking that it was the vault. And yes that meant I had the thermal drill on my back the whole time I didn’t realize it.

I started heisting around the time we met the Dentist. Some friends of friends had been playing and it looked like a blast; I couldn't have imagined what it would become! Now my crew are my family, and PAYDAY will always be part of what we made together.

I first started Payday 2 just around 20 days before the Breaking News event. I didn't even play with other people and leave normal difficulty until some guy helped me through harder heists. if you're out there, thank you.
