PAYDAY 2: A word from Simon – Music update coming!
Hello robbers and music lovers,
Simon here. For those who don’t know, I’m the « voice of Bain ». I’m also responsible for all the music in PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2 along with some other stuff we don’t have to go into now.
The music is a big part of PAYDAY and we are – in a not too distant future – going to release an update that only has to do with the music. I won’t tell you right now exactly what that update contains, but it’s gonna be some sweet, sweet stuff!
In « PAYDAY: The Heist » – the game that « PAYDAY 2 » is the sequel of – all heists had their own music, and you would only hear that music when you played that heist.
Right now I’m interested in hearing from the PAYDAY 2 community, to find out what tracks and heists would fit together like that in PAYDAY 2. Here are ten polls where you can have your say in the matter:

Please take all ten polls! Right now the first poll I put up (for the track « Time Window ») has more than three times more voters than some of the other polls, which is a bit odd. You guys grow tired after answering one poll? Show some resilience! ;-)

Q: Why is there no « all heists » option in the polls, or OMZG WILL THE MUSIC NOT BE RANDOM ANYMORE I WOULD HATE THAT!!!1!11!!!!
A: Don’t worry, we will not force this change on anyone. We’re just taking some suggestions for the default settings of a feature that you will be able to alter yourself or choose not to use at all. The randomization feature will still be in the game after the update.
Q: Why are some heists missing in the list of options? And why are there no polls for some tracks?
A: Some tracks fit naturally with certain heists, so we don’t feel the need to ask the community about these. For example, Big Bank was released with the music track « Ode to Greed » – and the Armored Transport DLC came with the music track « Armed to the Teeth ».
Q: Why doesn’t the poll make any difference between the two different versions of « Election Day – Day 2 »?
A: That’s how this music feature will work in the game too, it won’t make a difference between the two variations of that heist. If you think this sucks, we can only apologize.
Q: When does this update come?
A: No info on that right now, sorry.
Q: Can I get an option to turn off Bain? He talks too much!
A: We’re aware that this is a requested feature, but this update is only about the music.
